The supplier of industrial gases for various sectors Nippon Gases has chosen Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) to integrate your financial planning and consolidation processes on a single cloud platform. The company responsible for the implementation of the program has been NOVA, which is specialized in solutions for EPM and BI, and is part of the Oracle partner network.
Nippon Gases is one of the companies dedicated to the gas of the industrial and medical sectors of Europe. It is one of the companies that is part of the Nippon Sanso holdings Corporation, which operates in 31 countries and has more than 19,000 employees worldwide.
Operating in a constantly changing market and with a high level of complexity in terms of regulations and operations, the company needed to evolve its analytics to an agile, autonomous and cloud-integrated financial planning and consolidation model.
Before implementing Oracle Cloud EPM, Nippon Gases was working with Oracle Hyperion, but with less efficiency. The company’s processes were manual and not automated. As a result, I was spending excessive time collecting and uploading information. It also had problems in the governance of processes and in communication with its users in various countries. With Oracle Cloud EPM they seek to solve these problems and barriers, and improve various processes.
Its deployment is taking place in stages. Thus, the company’s Iberia subsidiary has already been completed, and that of the subsidiary corresponding to the region that includes both France and the Netherlands is beginning.
Elena López Osuna, ITS Enterprise Applications Director for Europe and ITS BRM Iberia at Nippon Gaseshas highlighted this change that «the The implementation of EPM has allowed us to obtain global and complete visibility on financial and non-financial information of all European entities. In addition, we have managed to have full control of the data consolidation process, reporting precise information to our parent company in an agile manner and in an appropriate time. We have a platform that allows a complete and reliable analysis with the possibility of generating financial scenarios to define strategic plans. And the platform connects directly with our ERP and DataWarehouse, which makes it easy to maintain the solution and provides stability to the process.”
As to Antonio Busca, Director of the ERP area of Oracle in Spain and Portugalhas stressed that the company’s EPM solutions «have allowed Nippon Gases to boost its digitalization and provide itself with an innovative and integrated planning and consolidation model, ready to scale with its business, to which are added the benefits of unique data management from Oracle Cloud platforms”.
