NVIDIA RTX 3090 SUPER, RTX 2060 12 GB and RTX 3070 16 GB: there is a date!

There will be, except surprise, new starter SUPER graphics cards to accompany this new RTX 3090 SUPER as such. What there will be are certain GPU models that would arrive renewed in a market that is totally out of control and that would only include an improvement compared to the original model.

NVIDIA RTX 3090 SUPER, date of presentation and two new GPUs

Logic tells us that the normal thing would be to present all the models of the SUPER range as happened with the RTX 20, but this time it will not be the case. At least as leaked, since NVIDIA is going to hit AMD where it cannot fight, in those gaps that it already has covered and where the green giant intends to unseat its competitor, but let’s go by parts.

The new RTX 3090 SUPER will be the most powerful and advanced version among the RTX 30 and will logically unseat the current RTX 3090. Will possess the full GA102 chip, as it was conceived with its final specification, so the performance increase will be slight, but justified to launch said chip. Another thing will be the price, unknown at the moment and where rumors already speak of the same cost as the current version that is on the market, so this could reduce its price and bring it closer to the RTX 3080 Ti.

As for the RTX 3070 Ti, NVIDIA was aware that with AMD it had to compete not only for power, but also for VRAM. The blow with the RX 6700 XT and RX 6800 has been hard, especially for the latter, which is who the RTX 3070 Ti really competes with, so give it 16 GB equalize the contest in this section with AMD.

RTX 3070 Ti and RTX 2060 with 16GB and 12GB, more VRAM than RTX 3080?

RTX 3090 SUPER

If there is a point where NVIDIA has not been right with this series 30 it is in the amount of VRAM. The aforementioned RTX 3070 16GB and the new RTX 2060 12 GB They are going to be curious that both cards although they are slower than the RTX 3080, they are going to have more VRAM than the latter.

What does this tell us? Well, NVIDIA does have the replacement of the current RTX 30 range ready to finish launching the RTX 3080 SUPER, RTX 3070 SUPER and RTX 3060 SUPER and thus end the criticism towards the amount of VRAM, leaving the models with 8 GB to AMD and its RX 6600 XT and RX 6600.

Although these SUPER will have to wait (there is no date or rumor about it) the three new GPUs named above (RTX 3090 SUPER, RTX 3070 Ti 16 GB and RTX 2060 12 GB) do have a schedule already set: January 2022. Will they be presented at CES and will they give the bell? Probably, so we will have to be careful, because this 2022 promises a lot.
