Oppo confirms its presentation date and publishes official images

Oppo unveils official images of its new flagship series of smartphones, the Find X5s, and expects to see you on February 24.

It’s now official, Oppo is about to present its new flagship series of smartphones. After confirming its presence at the MWC in Barcelona, ​​the Chinese brand announcement that it will organize a conference on February 24 at 12 noon. The event will be dedicated to the Find X5 series and will therefore take place prior to the Barcelona show. During the conference, three new smartphones are expected including the Find X5 Pro.

Future flagship model of Oppo, it has already been the subject of numerous leaks. The Chinese manufacturer has also confirmed a partnership with Hasselblad around mobile photography; joining the OnePlus brand it absorbed last year. Already accustomed to focusing on the photo with this range, Oppo promises that its Find X5 Pro will be equipped with a “state of the art camera like no other” and a “futuristic flagship design”.

In addition to the photo component, the manufacturer plans to integrate its in-house MariSilicon X chip. This is an NPU dedicated to image processing which should improve the quality of photos and videos taken with Find X5s. In the meantime, its presentation, the brand assures that it “overcomes the biggest challenge of smartphone video capture – night recording”.

According to rumors, the smartphone will carry a triple module comprising two 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 sensors. This sensor is notably available on the Realme 9 Pro+ that we tested. A 13 megapixel telephoto lens (f / 2.4) must complete the photo component of this smartphone. It would offer 5x hybrid zoom and 20x digital zoom.

Inside, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 will power this smartphone. A comfortable amount of RAM (12 GB) and 256 GB are mentioned. Finally, a 5,000 mAh battery compatible with 80 W wired fast charging should appear. On the software side, we are waiting for the ColorOS 12.1 overlay based on Android 12.

There are only a few days left to wait before discovering the Find X5s. Future rival of the Galaxy S22 Ultra or iPhone 13 Pro, the Find X5 Pro should also be one of the most expensive smartphones on the market.
