Realme will present its fast charge at 125 W in a few days

Mentioned for several weeks, Realme’s ultra-fast charging technology will soon be presented by the Chinese brand.

Very ambitious, Realme wants to mark the year 2022 with its mark and let it be known. The Chinese brand has just launched its Realme 9 Pro and 9 Pro+ (read our test) and invites us to meet at MWC 2022. On the occasion of the Barcelona event, the manufacturer will present “the world’s fastest charging technology”. The announcement will take place on February 28 and should allow Realme to put pressure on its competitor Xiaomi. A specialty of Chinese brands, (very) fast charging took a new step with the launch of the Xiaomi 11T Pro. This smartphone has the particularity of embedding HyperCharge technology at 120 W; with the promise of a full charge in just 17 minutes.

The performance has not gone unnoticed by Realme, who wants to offer even better. The young brand promises to launch a 125 W charging technology, which is almost a record. Rightly, the manufacturer claims to be “one of the first brands to launch 125W charging”… after Oppo. As early as summer 2020, the firm presented 125 W Super FlashCharge charging technology. However, no Oppo smartphone has been launched with such fast wired charging.

As with Xiaomi, many questions surround “ultra” fast charging. The latter causes significant heating and the charger, if provided in the box, tends to be particularly imposing.

The GT series will benefit from charging at 125W

While Realme is to officially launch its GT 2 series in Europe, it confirms that its premium range will benefit from this ultra-fast charging. Thus, the international version of the Realme GT 2 Pro is expected to stand out from the Chinese variant. The latter is limited to a fast wired recharge of 65 W, for a full charge in 33 minutes.

For the time being, the manufacturer indicates that 70% of the company’s research and development resources are invested in technological innovations. Charging technology is considered “one of the integral parts” of the Realme project. Remember that the manufacturer is experiencing rapid growth in Europe; ranking among the top 5 smartphone brands in 13 European countries.
