Samsung has added a lots of features in its upper user layer, including a renovation of the entire visual section; more lock screen customization features (some say “inspired” by iOS 16); more themes for the cover screen on the Galaxy Z Flip folding series; Samsung Wallet for mobile payments and cards (which started rolling out in June); improvements to multitasking or improvements to the camera, including the ability to easily zoom with one hand.
The latest version of One UI also provides improvements in Samsung DeX and in the security and privacy sections. The stable version of One UI 5.0 is rolling out to Galaxy S22, S22 Plus, and S22 Ultra powered by Exynos chipset. Models with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC will receive it in the coming weeks.
