CES 2022 was an opportunity for Samsung to show off its strength with its largest curved screen, Odyssey Ark.
With CES 2022 in full swing, Samsung may have already stolen the top spot in the display category. The Korean firm has indeed presented its latest curved screen Odyssey Ark. Like any worthy successor to the Odyssey range, Samsung is pushing the limits of its technology to offer the largest curved screen in the world. Here are some pictures in context.

Future specs for a … futuristic screen
At the level of pure technology, we find in this monitor a curved panel of 55 inches, displaying a resolution in 4K and a backlighting in Mini LED. Unlike its predecessor, the G9, the screen has a 16: 9 display ratio, not 32: 9. This means that the format is similar to that of a conventional television, but in very curved. As can be seen in the images shared below, the curvature is rather pronounced.
The big plus of this screen is that it can be rotated 90 ° to take a completely vertical position. If it can hardly serve as an extra screen (it is all the same gigantic) it can surely be practical for multitasking or for gamers. The firm explains:
” The HAS (Height Adjustable Stand), swivel and tilt features, in addition to an advanced ergonomic design, provide every player with optimal comfort. This new vertical cockpit-style rotating screen offers a new gaming experience and allows for portrait or landscape orientation for multitasking and multi-window setup.
Multi-view options allow users to set the Odyssey Ark just the way they want with a fully scalable screen size to suit the game or program without compromising its 4K display and bright, colorful images. The monitor also has a wireless wheel controller to manage lighting and interface. “
Pricing and availability
However, Samsung did not specify whether it was a proper gaming screen, and does not provide enough features for us to get an idea. The Samsung Odyssey Ark monitor is expected to ship in the second half of 2022 at a price not yet known. We can nevertheless expect 4 figures on the invoice.
