I don’t think I’m wrong if I say that the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti and 4060, in their desktop version, are the most anticipated graphics cards of the current generation. And I am not referring exclusively to NVIDIA models, but to the entire market. I fully share the reflection that my colleague Juan made yesterday about the need for a stronger Intel in the graphics card market, but as mentioned in it, the justified dominant position of the green giant in the market is more than notorious. I repeat, justified, because his advances and innovations are indisputable, but you can always wish for a little more real competition. If you followed the MotoGP World Championship during Mick Doohan’s golden five-year period, you surely know what I mean (and be careful, at that time I was quite a fan of the “koala”).
As I said, I understand that the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti and 4060 desktop are the most anticipated graphics of their generation. Because? Because if the RTX 4070 has democratized access to the high-end, the 4060 and 4060 TI will open the doors of all the exclusive technology of Ada Lovelace architecture to the mid-range. Although it is still early to know final prices, it seems that the 4060 Ti will be very well priced and therefore we can expect the GeForce RTX 4060 to be even more affordable and thus allow many users to make the jump to this generation.
There is still no date for the announcement and launch of both cards, although my colleague Isidro recently ventured to bet on the launch (or at least the announcement) of the RTX 4060 Ti between may and june, that is to say, that we will no longer have to wait too long. And of course, soon after the time will come for the 4060, so we will only have to wait for the debut of the smallest of the family, the RTX 4050.
Thus, manufacturers are already preparing to bring their devices to the market, whether they are the cards produced by NVIDIA’s partners, or the equipment that integrates them. And it is at this point that, despite the fact that they have not yet been officially announced (neither the cards nor the teams) We have already seen the first MSI PCs with GeForce RTX 4060 Ti graphics. Videocardz talks about several distributors and retailers, among which he cites the Belgian store 2Compute as an example, which currently lists five computers with the 4060 Ti. The five teams also integrate Intel Raptor Lake processors.
As you can see, the prices do not seem reliable, so it will be better not to take them into account. However, the appearance of these teams on multiple lists is undoubtedly a clear sign that we won’t have to wait too long for the RTX 4060 Ti, which is undoubtedly excellent news.
