That’s it, the PS5 version of the first Marvel’s Spider-Man is now available! Players who already own the PS4 version will have to pay the sum of €10 to obtain it. On the other hand, if this is the first time you have purchased the game, it will cost you the modest sum of €49.99.
Insomniac Games warned us a few days ago: the PS5 version of its now cult Marvel’s Spider-Man would be available for purchase this week. It is now done. By going to the PlayStation Store, you can now download the Remastered version of the game, which benefits from all the technical improvements of Sony’s latest addition.
Please note that this update is not free. Indeed, if the PS4 version is already in your possession, it will take 10 € to take advantage of the Remastered version. A price certainly lower compared to the current prices of AAA games, but which will not fail to make some cringe, after the deployment of free PS5 updates for several of the games available on the two consoles.

A decision which is explained by extensive work on the part of Insomniac, which was not content to unlock the framerate of the game to stick to the performance of the PS5. Indeed, this is the port of the PC game released last year, which has benefited from a nice graphic overhaul. Also, it should rather be seen as a real remaster (as its name suggests, ultimately) offered at a very advantageous price.
Of course, you’ll have to buy the full game if you don’t own the PS5 version. Its price will then be €59.99. Also note that the €10 discount is not valid if you downloaded the original game from your PlayStation Plus subscription. Anyway, this remaster comes at the right time for all players in need of the spider-man. As a reminder, the long-awaited second opus should be released next September.
