After starring in numerous rumors that ranged from the possible elimination of this model to the elimination of other phones in pursuit of its survival, it seems that finally Samsung will go ahead with the presentation of the Galaxy S21 FE, even benefiting from this small delay.
As confirmed now from SamMobile, The Galaxy S21 FE will launch with One UI 4 and Android 12 from the start. In reality, this would not be possible if the phone launched as scheduled in October, or even if it launched this month. If true, this makes it the first Samsung phone to launch with Android 12, beating even the Galaxy S22 series which is expected to debut a few weeks later. So this already gives it a huge advantage over the Galaxy S21 as it means that the Galaxy S21 FE will have the right to update to Android 15 in the future.
On the other hand, as we have been anticipating in previous leaks, like its predecessor the Galaxy S21 FE will also arrive under two models with different processors, equipped with the Snapdragon 888 (with Adreno 660) and Exynos 2100 (with Mali G78), which will be available differently depending on your target market. Still we are talking about two high-end SoCs and excellent features, so this, except for personal preferences, the performance of both should be quite similar.
It is thus expected that in Spain and the rest of Europe the version with Samsung’s own chipset will be marketed, while in America the model equipped with the Qualcomm processor will exclusively arrive. Thus, both versions of the Galaxy S21 FE will be accompanied by some really powerful configurations, with up to 12GB of LPDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
Regarding its specific arrival date, there are still some doubts as to whether the Galaxy S21 FE will finally be presented at an event of its own during the month of January (as the company usually does with these special phones for fans) or if for the Otherwise, it will take advantage of the CES 2022 showcase for its promotion.
Similarly, for the moment we still do not know the possible price of this terminal, with the only premise that it will be one notch above the original model.
