After the good reception of their previous events, it seems that Valve is looking to give Steam Next Fest a little more continuityits events in which it presents and previews some of the games that are going to be launched and included on its platform in the coming months, putting hundreds of tests and demos at the hands of players, developer broadcasts, and even a platform for Chat with some of the development teams for these titles.
So, despite the short time since the last spring event, it seems that the company is already turning its attention to the next iteration of the event for the summer, dating the next Steam Next Fest for next June, taking place between the 13th and the 20th. Once again, the showcase will take place completely online, with access to all content directly from the event website and the Steam desktop application. from 7:00 p.m. (time of the Spanish peninsula).
That said, the choice of date continues to surprise us, possibly will overlap with the celebration of the video game fair E3 2022. And it is that although at the moment the association has not yet set a date for the annual conference, it has historically been held between the beginning and the middle of June.
On the other hand, this event will feature some changes compared to previous editions, establishing a new (and quite controversial) precedent: from now on, we will only have the opportunity to play the demo of a certain game once. This means that if we access a beta during the current Steam Next Fest, we won’t be able to test it again later in case it becomes available again in one of the following editions, even if the development of it has advanced.
