A leaker has unveiled on social networks what seems to be the first visual of the OnePlus Nord 2T, a boosted version of the OnePlus Nord. And its design resembles that of the OnePlus Nord 2 less than that of certain Realme models, in particular the Realme 9 Pro+. On the technical sheet side, the leaker reveals a list of components quite close to the OnePlus Nord 2, with a slight change in SoC.
For almost two years, OnePlus’ strategy has changed significantly. Its catalog of smartphones has gone from a single, premium range to two. OnePlus has kept the top of the range, which is more expensive, as our test of the OnePlus 10 Pro shows. Then she added the north family, which covers all more affordable price segments. In this family, you will find the Nord 2, the Nord N10 or the Nord CE 2 5G, the latest model to date.

This strategy, we certainly owe it to the merger of OnePlus with Oppo. Pete Lau, the brand’s former CEO, has returned to his executive role at Oppo, as chief development officer, while remaining at the helm of the OnePlus brand. Result: software developments between ColorOS and OxygenOS are pooled. And the products of both brands are closer.
The next OnePlus Nord looks like a Realme smartphone
We want proof of this in the design of a probable future smartphone from OnePlus: the North 2T. The latter was leaked on social networks. An Indian leaker posted the image that accompanies this article, along with a draft spec sheet. Let’s look at the visual first. We find there a smartphone whose design is strangely similar to that of the Realme 9 Pro+ that we tested in writing (we remember that Realme belongs to Oppo, like OnePlus). Especially with the two flashes placed to the right of the lenses. At the front, the punch is placed in the same place.
Of course, there are differences, especially on the lower circle of the module where the two secondary sensors are integrated.
