In fact, this significant growth has sparked greater market interest in our company”explains David Vitoria, CEO and founder of Berria Bike, who advances: “Our forecasts are even better for 2022, a particularly important year in our company’s strategic plan, in which we work on consolidating the national market, already very mature, and on the international take-off of our firm, which is already has gained strength in almost thirty countries”.

16 million euros in sales for June

In this way, the forecasts of the Castilian-Manchego company are optimistic, since they contemplate increasing their turnover above 58% in its next fiscal year, which ends in June 2022, and approach 16 million euros in sales in just under six months. A growth that will be boosted, in part, through its commitment to expanding the brand abroad, whose market already represents 11% of turnover, and which in the current year could rise to 20% of revenue. of the signature.

Berria Bike continues to consolidate itself as a relevant actor outside of Spain, with a focus on Europe, especially in countries such as the Netherlands, Italy, France and the United Kingdom, among others, as well as in strengthen its presence in Latin Americawhere the company already has significant penetration in different regions, such as the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico or Mexico, where it has achieved the trust of both fans and elite athletes.

To achieve this goal, the firm has worked during 2021 the capillarization of its commercial networkwhich has increased by 87% to reach 280 points of sale, focused on specialized local stores capable of highlighting the technical characteristics and customization options of their high-performance bicycles.

Ready to tackle growth

Precisely, to continue on this path of growth, Berria Bike has also prepared itself during this past year to be able to embrace the growing demand for its bicycles thanks to a significant expansion of its facilities, which have gone from 2,500 to 3,000 square meters, as well as of its productive capacity, which has been increased by up to 60%.

To achieve this, the company has invested a total of 350,000 euros in technology and has increased its workforce by 167%, which already has 40 direct jobs, not counting the indirect jobs generated in its immediate environment, as a result of the firm’s commitment to boost the business ecosystem of the so-called “Empty Spain”.

In this way, the brand has added a new production line and assembled to address mass production of large runs, as well as the creation of exclusive models in the case of the firm’s customization service, which allows it to expand production to reach 200 bicycles per day. The investment in new facilities has also led to the increase and digitization of the warehouse, with the aim of increasing the logistics efficiency of the entire center and optimizing stock management.
