The VI edition of Venture on the Road is held in Malaga on March 16

Malaga will host the next March 16 the sixth edition of Venture On The Road, that continues its tour throughout Spain in search of the best startups in early stages. The traveling event is organized by BStartup from Banco Sabadell, SeedRocket and Wayra, Telefónica’s open innovation initiative, to which Google for Startups joins as a collaborator.

After its last stop in Bilbao, the roadshow will travel next week to the capital of the Costa del Sol where it repeats for the second year. The event will be held in the lamppost, the Andalucía Open Future acceleration space, in Councilor Muñoz Cerván. Andalusian startups that want to register for the meeting can sign up until March 6 on the Venture On The Road page. In this edition, the program maintains its objectives: to search for the best investment opportunities in each region and give startups in the initial stages the opportunity to present their project to investors and generate quality networking.

To carry it out, Venture on the Road always relies on the experience and knowledge of the local ecosystem. On this occasion, Venture on the Road Málaga has the collaboration of local partners that represent the Andalusian entrepreneurial ecosystem, thanks to Andalucía Emprende from the Junta de Andalucía, Lean Finance and Andalucía Open Future.

The winning startup of Venture on the Road in Malaga will have a guaranteed place in the national final which will be held on June 15 in Madrid. In addition, you will be part of the Google Cloud Platform digital native program with $10,000 in credits valid for nine months and technical follow-up with Google Cloud engineers. You will also have preferential access to advanced training from Google Cloud Platform training programs.

From Google for Startups, its director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Sofía Benjumea, highlights “The excellent opportunity that this Venture on the Road program represents for entrepreneurs from other regions, providing visibility to their projects, networking with national players and allowing potential investors to get to know their company” and “How Malaga has become an epicenter of innovation and cybersecurity in full swing”.

Finance or marketing advice

The national winner of the VI Venture on the Road will receive as a prize specialized advice in finance or marketing to the value of 3,000 euros offered by BStartup, participation as a guest project in the SeedRocket Campus for Entrepreneurs and a space of 6-12 months in the Wayra offices, as well as access to their workshops and training. In addition, the final winner of this VI edition will have access to Google for Startups Campus Madrid for six months and will be able to access 2 mentoring sessions with the Google for Startups team to identify support possibilities for their growth.

During this VI Edition, the Venture on the Road roadshow will visit a total of six Spanish cities to locate talent and promising startups at a regional level beyond Madrid and Barcelona, ​​the two leading technology hubs in Spain. Specifically, the event has already passed through Oviedo, Cartagena and Bilbao and in the coming months it will reach Valladolid and Alicante.
