Amazon’s customer service, together with all the facilities that it makes available to us to make use of the guarantee or return any purchase without giving any type of explanation, make it the best option today. However, we may not consider it as an option, if we share the account with the rest of the family members, since they can easily consult the order history and know, in advance, what we are going to give them this Christmas or at any other time of the year that is associated with a celebration.
However, this is not the case, since Amazon allows us to hide our orders from the history so that they are shown directly in this section and thus avoid spoiling the surprise. By hiding the order, we are only hiding it from view, we are not deleting it from our history. Once we have delivered the gift, we can remove it from the file to make it available again in the order section and be able to quickly make use of the guarantee if necessary.
Hide orders on Amazon
To hide an Amazon order and not show it in this section, we must access the Amazon website, click on our name to access our tab (we can do it from this link) and then click on My orders. Next, all the purchases we have made in the last three months will be displayed. If we want to extend that time range, we will have to click on the Last three months drop-down box and select the year in which we are or previous years to find the products that we want to hide.
Once we have located the order that we want to hide, we look for the option archive orderoption that is displayed at the bottom of the order.
By clicking on this option, the order will no longer be available in this section, so if anyone in our family environment accesses this section, they will not be able to easily find the latest orders. But, if you are aware of this option, you will be able to access the archived orders, although it is very unlikely that you are aware of it, since it is a function that is used very sporadically and for certain times of the year such as the one we are currently in. .
Amazon allows us archive up to a maximum of 500 orders. If we exceed that limit and want to continue archiving orders, we will have to remove the oldest orders from the archive, orders that it no longer makes sense to continue hiding from Amazon purchase history.
