He Chapter 6 from the series The Last of Us has given us, once again, a fantastic episode full of nods to the video game and an important advance in the plot of joel and ellie -possibly the one that has had the most emotional charge for both of them. Despite this, it has also been the least “careful” installment of all those issued so far, with several failures that we have been able to hunt on the fly and what perhaps you did not realize during your viewing. Here we are, however, to put them on a plate.

“Family”, a chapter full of emotions
Three months after what happened with Henry and Sam, we find that Joel continues his long journey, along with Ellie, in search of his brother. And finally they find it. Our protagonist discovers that Tommy has made a clean slate in a new and protected settlement, rebuilding his life together with Maria, with whom he will become a father.
Joel doesn’t fit too well that Tommy has been reset while he remains trapped in a dynamic in which his past demons are more present than ever. In addition, he feels older and clumsier every time, so after a heartfelt confession, he asks his brother to take charge of continuing the path with him. Ellie until finding the Fireflies, something that our dear immune doesn’t do you any thanks.
After a tough confrontation of words, in which Joel’s daughter even comes up, this reconsider and decides to continue his journey with Ellie, with a clear change in attitude on his part. Unfortunately, their “happiness” will be short-lived: after finding that the end point of their journey It is deserted and there is no sign of the Fireflies, our protagonists face some looters, with the bad luck that Joel ends up being injured leaving Ellie in a panic and us with our hearts in our fists.
What an episode.
More “glitches” than ever
Despite the commented emotional charge of the episode, it seems as if this chapter has not been cared for in the same way as the previous ones. And it is that we have hunted several improper failures of a production like this, especially seeing the same one that has been put in previous installments of the HBO Max series.
That’s not Joel and Ellie
In several sequences in which the silhouette or an overhead shot of Joel and Ellie mounted on horseback is seen, it is clearly seen that they are not Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey. When we have closer shots, we do see them editing -which means that it is not because the actors do not know or have not been able to record these scenes in motion- so that we do not understand why they have been used double For other moments or if they did, they should have at least looked for ones with a greater similarity so that they didn’t sing so much.
the frozen horse
The last scene of the episode leaves us with a heartbroken Ellie to see how Joel has fainted and fallen from the horse because of the wound in his abdomen. What she has also given us is the image of a frozen horse. And it is that if you look closely, the last seconds show us a motionless animal -as you can see under these lines-, which does not move its head or ears, and even has a bent leg, in a rather strange and unnatural posture. Could it have frozen due to the high temperatures?
This has possibly been the most commented failure on social networks. It turns out that in the scene of the snowy bridge (when the protagonists are crossing it), it is possible to see several people in a corner of the screen (clearly, people from the filming crew). A blunder that a clever user has not hesitated to share with evidence on his Twitter account, warning Neil Druckman himself to consider correcting it -at the time of writing these lines, it can still be seen on HBO Max-:
