‘World of Goo’ returns, remastered by Netflix

World of Goo is back with a remastered edition for mobile devices that only Netflix users can enjoy, as it adds to the company’s growing catalog of games.

Do you remember this game? It is a development indie Most humble, the work of the 2D Boy studio, headed by only two people, former Electronic Arts employees Kyle Gabler and Ron Carme. World of Goo It came out in 2008 for the Wii ed Virtual Console, WiiWare, as well as for PC, including Windows, Mac and Linux.

In 2014 the game began a new journey through Google Play and the App Store with two versions for Android and iOS and in 2017 it would be released exclusively for Nintendo Switch, as always, in digital format. in his day, World of Goo It even had a version for BlackBerry OS.

World of Goo It didn’t take long for it to become quite a phenomenon, thanks to an attractive visual style and a simple, but challenging mechanic, with a mixture of puzzle, construction and physics that gave a lot of play, and never better said. And, as they say, good things never go out of style, as Netflix seems to have taken into account.

Thus, the great N of VOD will swell its growing catalog of mobile games with the remastered edition of World of Goowhose launch will take place this month of May, specifically, next may 23. It will be the same game as always, the same one that can still be purchased on Google Play or the App Store, but free for Netflix users.

The only change that this remastered edition will bring refers to the graphics, which improve their resolution -they duplicate it, in fact- in line with the screens that are currently carried. There is no more, since the game was already adapted to the tactile experience since it came out, practically, although then the novelty was the movement and not the tactile.

We do not know if the commitment to games is going well for Netflix, but they continue with it and with World of Goo they score a little bit. Today we echoed in our free games section the launch of Laya’s Horizon, one of his most ambitious games to date. And, beware, they already have a lot, in case you are a Netflix user and are interested.
