This forces the user to depend solely on the official memories that are sold in stores, whose price of 260 euros is excessive when compared to the PS5 SSD memories.

The arrival of this Western Digital model would finally open up a range of options that, although it would continue to be scarce, would raise a new price with which manufacturers would fight to have the best possible sale price, and that can only benefit the user.

Are they really that expensive?

The problem with all this is whether the memories are really as expensive as they are painted. The first thing that many may think is that 1 TB SSDs are around 120 euros, however, as we have commented, these memories are CFExpressand unfortunately they are more expensive.

In the meantime, we will wait for the official announcement from Western Digital to know definitively the price in euros of this memory and its availability.
