After lifting the veil on the Xiaomi 12T and 12T Pro as well as a host of new products, the Chinese manufacturer presented the Xiaomi TV Series Q2, new 4K televisions equipped with Dolby Vision IQ, Dolby Atmos and Google TV at from €699.
As you may know, Xiaomi occupied the media scene this Tuesday, October 4, 2022 on the occasion of its conference dedicated to the presentation of its future products. The Chinese manufacturer has notably lifted the veil on the Xiaomi 12T and 12T Pro, its next high-end smartphone, but also on a brand new all-in-one tablet, the Redmi Pad, available from €299.
But that’s not all since we had the right to focus on the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum X10+a high-end robot vacuum cleaner, without forgetting the Xiaomi Smart Band 7 Pro (a new connected bracelet) or wireless headphones Redmi Buds 4 and Buds 4 Pro.
Xiaomi launches TV Series Q2, 4K with Dolby Vision IQ at a low price
But in this article, we will mainly discuss the Xiaomi TV Series Q2, the new range of 4K televisions from the Chinese firm. Available in 3 sizes, viz. 50″, 55″ and 65″these 4K Ultra-HD televisions have the main advantage of integrating the Dolby Vision iQ.
This technology leverages Dolby Vision metadata and the TV’s built-in ambient light sensor.to intelligently display all the details and dynamically adapt to the light variations in your interior and the type of content being broadcast”. In other words, the TV will adapt contrast, brightness and colors according to the ambient light in your living room.
In addition, the panels of the Xiaomi Q2 embark Quantum Dot technology, which can display more than a billion colors. We also find MEMC technology, which improves smoothness and artificially increases the number of frames on low frame rate content. Be careful however, we remain on 60 Hz on all three models.

Dolby Atmos and DTS X for the audio part
Regarding the audio part, the Xiaomi Q2 Series are compatible Dolby Atmos and DTSXwhile they have two speakers of 15 W each. As for the connection, you have to count on 3 HDMI ports (1 port with eARC), an Ethernet port, two USB 2.0 ports, an Antenna socket, an AV input, an Optical output as well as a 3.5 mm Jack port. The TV is Wi-Fi (2.4 and 5 GHz) and Bluetooth 5.0 compatible.
Let’s come to the software part which is provided by Google TV, the latest interface from the Mountain View company. Thanks to it, you will be able to take advantage of personalized recommendations from Google based on your subscriptions, your preferences and the content available.
