Thus, continuing with the development of the browser, a few hours ago Google launched the new version of its browser, Chrome 112, for everyone. This new version is already reaching all Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS users, within from the stable development branch.
This new version of Chrome is not focused on bringing new functions or features, but it is a security update. In all, the new Chrome 112 includes 16 security fixes that they were endangering users. Vulnerabilities are of all kinds, both in terms of severity and type of security breach. Also, taking advantage of this new version, Google has made some changes to the browser’s internal APIs, which affects web developers.
At the moment, the bugs are shared internally, and until the majority of users update, they won’t be made public. In addition, Google ensures that no exploits or signs of failures have been detected in the network, so, initially, there should not have been any users affected by these failures. But, as usual, hackers are now working against the clock to start taking advantage of these security flaws and, therefore, it is vital to update the browser before it is too late.
Update to the latest version
Initially, we do not have to do anything to be able to update to the new Chrome 112. It will be enough to use the browser normally so that, as soon as the new version is downloaded, when closing it and reopening it, it is installed directly on the PC. We can check the version that we have installed on our PC by typing the following in the address bar:

In the window that appears we can see the version of the browser that we have installed. Also, when you open this window, Chrome will search for new available versions so that, if we don’t have this new version yet, it will be automatically downloaded and installed on your PC without having to do anything else.
After restarting the browser, we can now enjoy these new security improvements.
