Amazon has just launched a line of new products from the Echo line. The Echo Show 5, Echo Show 5 Kids, and the all-new Echo Buds, Echo Auto, and Echo Pop.
I’Echo-Pop particularly attracts our attention, since it is a compact Bluetooth speaker compatible with Alexa. It is available on the e-commerce giant’s website for the modest sum of €54.99, while lucky Americans can grab it for $39.99. The Echo Pop is a semi-spherical enclosure available in four colorsanthracite, white, duck green and lavender.
Amazon considers it particularly suitable for sound reinforcement in small spaces and bedrooms. It not only allows you to control your music with your voice, but also all your connected devices, namely lights, thermostats and all connected devices. It works with music streaming services like Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, and Amazon Music, of course.

I’Echo Show 5 is the new iteration of the connected speaker integrating an Alexa-enabled 7-inch screen, an AZ2 Neural Edge processor and better microphones and more efficient speakers. The device allows you to watch the news, view camera images from a Ring doorbell, display a shopping list or make video calls. Amazon claims the Echo Show 5 is 20% faster than its predecessor. Both the Echo Show 5 and the Echo Pop are compatible with the Matter connection standard, which makes them home automation control devices compatible with different brands.

The release of these new products shows that the Silicon Valley giant has no not quite abandoned its ambitions in the field of connected objects and that he does not intend to leave the field so easily open to the Apple HomePods or the all-new Pixel Tablet.
