Undoubtedly, 12 months have been filled as always with news of all kinds and although the surprise factor in this sector has long ceased to be so decisive, it has not been a bad year for interesting devices. These have been my favorites of 2022 – they have not necessarily been released recently, but they are the ones I have used the most and I liked them.
iPhone 14 Pro Max
Yes, it is impossible to defend it in terms of price, but as a smartphone it is still a very round terminal. And you know. In a clearly continuing trend, Apple has been able to pour everything it knows into its iPhone 14 Pro Max, a beast at the performance level that in the case of the Max offers a trousers 6.7 inches. For many it will be too big (and heavy) a phone, but for me it continues to be crowned as a very complete team, with a very attractive design (the purple color this season is amazing), an operating system that continues to make my life easier and a fantastic battery, without underestimating, of course, its photographic system.
EchoShow 15
The full range of alexa smart speakers It’s great, and although the 5th generation Echo Dot and Echo Studio, for example, have surprised me a lot, if I have to stick with one, it’s the Show 15. I currently have it in my office, where I not only have a window in which to see the news, view the order delivery notice, check the weather or simply use as a large photo frame; It’s also an ideal mount to have connected to my smart doorbell, so when someone knocks on my door, I can see it on the Echo’s screen – while Alexa announces it to me through her speaker.
Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra
What a discovery of Vacuum cleaner robot. The Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra has managed to place itself at the top of my preferences and recommendations for self-contained cleaning devices because, simply, has it all. This robotic unit when equipped with a self-emptying bucket for dust, a bucket of clean water to mop and thus scrub the floor and a self-emptying bucket of dirty water for automatic cleaning of the mop. This means that I can forget about everything that has to do with cleaning the house for several days, trusting that it will not only vacuum the dust effectively but also that it will scrub, with the comfort that this implies for maintenance. of the home – be careful, it does not replace the cleaning that you can do thoroughly with a mop, but it helps a lot. Your app works great and the object identification mapping is fantastic (it doesn’t crash into anything, nothing!). Seriously, it’s a great investment.
Philips 3200 Series Super Automatic
I wasn’t particularly a coffee person… until this smart piece of equipment from Philips came into my life. The Philips 3200 is a fantastic super-automatic coffee maker, and it has smart features, of course – which actually got me interested in it. through the Wifi and an installed app On my phone, I can turn it on, select the type of coffee I want (Espresso, Americano, Capuccino…) and also customize these drinks with the strength of the coffee I want, quantity and even temperature. It also comes with a LatteGo milk jug for those who carry it (and it makes a lot of foam!).
Kindle Scribe
Well, this has been a last minute addition but it has surprised me so much that I couldn’t stop mentioning it here. The Paperwhite has always been my favorite model from Amazon’s range because I think it balances the features it offers with the price quite well. I don’t think the Kindle Scribe is a device for everyone and a better fit than the aforementioned Paperwhite, but its new qualities and size are well worth at least a close look. The Notes feature works much better than I expected (writing with your pencil is a joy) and its size gives me the feeling of reading in a big book, with a hard cover, the kind you can enjoy sitting on the sofa. Without a doubt, one of the gadgets that have amazed me the most this 2022.
