E-commerce reaches 18,000 million national billing for the first time

But, what are the main challenges that Spanish companies face when taking the step towards online sales? Based on the broad representation of large e-tailers that will meet at the next edition of the Digital 1-to-1 Springwhich will be held in Port Aventura (Tarragona) on March 16 and 17, Digital 1to1 has analyzed what are the digital solutions most demanded by Spanish e-commerce.

The attendees registered for the event have coincided in highlighting that the traffic generation (60%)the attracting new customers (47%) and the improvement of ecommerce logistics processes (40%) These are the three main areas in which they will focus their investment in the coming months. The quintet of solutions most in demand by the large Spanish e-tailers are completed by all those aimed at integrating and selling through marketplace (40%)and the solutions of cross-border selling (35%) of products in different countries.

Digital 1to1 has delved into the analysis of the most demanded solutions, dividing them into four major areas of interest for online stores: ecommerce solutions, marketing technology, retail solutions and advertising technology. The detailed analysis of the most demanded solutions for each of the areas yields the following results:

  • 40% seek e-logistics solutions
  • 40% look for Marketplace solutions
  • 35% seek catalog and product management solutions

technology for marketing:

  • 58% seek customer experience solutions
  • 47% are looking for conversion improvement (CRO) solutions
  • 42% are looking for marketing automation solutions

retail technology:

  • 40% seek omnichannel commerce solutions
  • 35% seek commerce solutions through mobile devices
  • 21% seek technology consulting solutions

advertising technology:

  • 60% seek traffic generation solutions
  • 47% seek solutions to attract new customers
  • 35% seek digital advertising and social media marketing solutions

Finally, if we look at the investment intention of the companies, 35% of those registered have a budget over 250,000 euros for the implementation of solutions that allow them to increase digitization. For their part, 46% of the participants in the event have budgets of between 50,000 and 250,000 euros. “The technology purchase intention figures that we observe in the sector through Digital 1to1 show us that Spanish e-commerce are resoundingly determined to take advantage of the opportunities offered by a sector in clear growth”affirms the director of Business Development of Digital 1to1.
