Once you have made all the changes that are recommended in the audit, check again the strength of the signal, and its coverage. Even so, it is possible that you detect points in the hotel where the signal does not reach, or if it does, its intensity is poor. As a consequence, it is likely that you will have to extend the network with the help of a signal repeater. With them you will make it reach every corner of your hotel.
However, the results of the audit may be disastrous, and it may be easier (and cheaper) change the whole installation. In this case you will have to design it from scratch and plan it so that it reaches any corner with the maximum possible coverage. You will have to take into account all the basic recommendations to know how to install WiFi in a hotel in a satisfactory way, both the part of it that will work with cables and the part that will be operational without cable. But installing a new Wi-Fi will certainly improve the coverage of the old one.
In any case, the optimization of your hotel’s Wi-Fi network will not end with some changes to its network, or with its complete replacement. There may be unforeseen events and problems that appear on the network. Or because one of its components breaks down or because one of its elements suffers interference of some kind. Therefore, the best thing you can do to avoid them and to solve them as soon as possible is continuously monitor network status.
By doing so you will also be able to detect drops in performance, in general or in some of the areas of the network. Also the bottlenecks that may occur, and solve everything as soon as possible. This way you will also prevent customers staying at your hotel from having poorer Wi-Fi coverage, which can lead to dissatisfaction and complaints.
