We are in time of statement of income, and there are many of you who either have never done it or do not remember your passwords to access the draft. Today we are going to see how to access the declaration and any other government procedure in a much simpler way, using a simple ID reader by usb.
Using an ID reader we can do thousands of procedures without passwords (including the income statement) both for us and if a family member needs help, since we will only have to use a physical ID that we should all have on hand. Unlike a key or a box that we may not remember or lose.
Using a DNI reader for the declaration, how does it work?
The mechanism is very simple, we buy a reader compatible with the Spanish national identity document, which I will leave below as a recommendation, and by inserting the card the system itself will recognize it and we can access it through DNI.
These readers already come with the drivers and everything necessary so that once we connect them they install themselves, we just have to wait a moment and that’s it. So its difficulty is nil. Anyone can have one without computer knowledge, it would be the same as inserting a flash drive. Of course, you must use a compatible browser, in this case If you use Windows, it is best to do it with Edge, the default browser. If you use another you may have problems. Then you only have to access the page you want and when it asks you for the access data, click on the electronic ID as you will see in the previous image.
In the past, these devices were very expensive and it was not worth having one in our house, however, now, its price is ridiculously low and it can save us from trouble. With it, as I was telling you, you can carry out multiple procedures, not only the declaration, but also see your driver’s license points, for example.
I am going to leave you one here that works for both MacOS and Windows and that it is very well priced, at this moment you will find it for €9.99 on Amazon. Also, it is much smaller and more portable than the old ones.
There are also even smaller NFC readers, but they are not suitable for all IDs, only for the latest models.
In any case, this is an easy system and it can help you in case of an emergency or for a family member who is not very up-to-date with technology, however, I would recommend that you obtain the digital certificate from a public administration such as the Treasury or the INSS and thus you should not have passwords or external devices to carry out these procedures. It is the easiest and safest way that exists right now.
