The provider of payment solutions for marketplaces and platforms has announced the appointment of Olympe Leflamble as General Counsel, Legal and Compliance. This newly created position underlines the great commitment to innovation in a regulated environment to meet the new uses and needs of MANGOPAY customers and prospects, but also to ensure that the scaleup offers the best customer experience, while guaranteeing the commitment to legal obligations.
Through its extensive legal experienceOlympe will provide MANGOPAY with strategic advice for the company’s management team, as the company reinforces its commitment to compliance with regulations and commits to the policy makers and regulators around the world.
With more than 20 years of experience in the payments industry, Olympe joins the MANGOPAY team at a key moment, in a landscape of digital assets in constant evolution, where the call for regulation is becoming stronger. Olympe will manage and develop the legal team and the compliance team, supporting the scale-up’s grand ambitions. In addition, he will provide legal and compliance advice linked to the business and will work closely with MANGOPAY’s leadership team and its stakeholders to consolidate its leadership in the industry.
Before joining MANGOPAY, Olympe worked as Senior Legal Director of Payments for the EU and APAC in eBay. He also worked on amazon as Senior Corporate Counsel – EU payments where he provided strategic advice and support on a wide range of commercial and regulatory matters related to Amazon’s payments business in the European Union. Throughout her career in the marketplace and payment industries, Olympe Leflambe has also worked at PayPal supporting activity in Southern and Eastern Europe. She graduated in international business from the Sorbonne University in Paris and an LLM from the University of Lausanne, where she wrote her thesis entitled: “Legal aspects of electronic money”.
