Mato Seihei no Slave will have his anime

Shueisha announced that the manga battle shounen Mato Seihei no Slave (Slave of the Magic Capital’s Elite Troops) will receive a television anime adaptation.

The anime based on the writer’s fantasy work Takahiro (Akame ga Kill) and the artist Yōhei Takemura it will be produced by the animation studio Seven Arcs (Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha, White Album, Trinity Seven).

Below we can enjoy the teaser video announcing the adaptation.

What is Mato Seihei no Slave about?

The story of Mato Seihei no Slave is set in the present day in a world in which, for some time, dimensional gaps have appeared. These passages towards a parallel universe populated by terrible demonic creatures called Mato, represent a dangerous link through which these monsters can enter this reality. However, inside Mato there is an extraordinary and indispensable source of energy called “Peaches” capable of giving incredible powers to human women.

Since thanks to the Peaches, men now play a marginal role in human society, a body of anti-demon warriors has been set up to fight the monsters of Mato.

One day, a student named Yuuki suddenly finds himself transported inside Mato with Kyouka, captain of the Seventh Anti-Demon Unit, running to the boy’s aid.

Takahiro and Takemura launched the manga Mato Seihei no Slave on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump + website in January 2019, with the Japanese publishing house publishing the manga’s ninth volume on December 3.
