Motorola presents the Edge 40, an economic variant of its top of the range

Motorola has announced the launch of the Edge 40 to round off its series of most advanced smartphones, which includes the Pro model as the top of the range. This variant reduces some of its benefits, but it also lowers its price quite a bit for those looking for a terminal with a quality screen and good features at a lower cost.

The Motorola Edge 40 features a borderless curved glass display and an arched back inlay, joined together through a precision-cut brushed aluminum frame. Very pretty, slim (7.58mm thick) and comfortable to wear with a lightweight vegan coating, it also offers a degree of protection by adding IP68 certification against dust, dirt and accidental drops into fresh water.

Your panel is a 6.55′ inch curved pOLED, with native Full HD + resolution and in landscape format like all current mobiles. It is certified for HDR10+ high dynamic range and DCI-P3 color gamut to deliver a wider, more realistic color gamut. If you use the mobile for games, you are in luck because its variable refresh rate can reach 144 Hz.

Thus, compared to its Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, the Edge 40 uses a MediaTek Dimensity 8020, which we can consider sufficient with its eight cores (four of them high-performance Cortex-A78 with a maximum frequency of 2.6 GHz) and support for advanced 5G networks. It is accompanied by 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM (also somewhat less than the 12 GB of the Pro model) and 256 GB of internal storage UFS 3.15.

your system cameras It includes the All-Pixel approach, which promises, together with the optical stabilizer (OIS) of the main sensor, a more precise performance in any light condition. A 13 MP ultra-wide angle lens with macro completes the rear camera system, while the front selfie camera has a 32-megapixel resolution. As for software, it includes a series of new enhancements for video and camera, such as a horizon lock stabilizer, video portrait and ‘vlog’ mode.

It has a battery with a capacity of 4,400 mAh, with 68 W TurboPower fast charging system and additional 15W wireless charging. Another notable section is its sound system, with stereo speakers that support Dolby Atmos and the immersive experience provided by Motorola’s Spatial Sound technology.
