Someone has created a portable SNES and it is too perfect

If you grew up in the 90s, you surely remember the mythical Super Nintendo, or SNES for the Americans, or Super Famicon for the Japanese. The 16-bit console that competed with the Mega Drive and that he has to his credit a good number of cartridges, each one more spectacular and fun. But, what would happen if someone decides to reinvent it with a design that leaves in diapers what was devised by Nintendo more than 30 years ago? Well, something like this has happened.

Compact, compatible and with television

A little over five years ago, Nintendo launched a Mini version of that Super Nintendo from the 90s, although what was achieved by the user lemonegongbang is unparalleled with nothing we have seen, since it has encapsulated the brain of the beast in such a small space that it seems incredible that everything fits inside there. Moreover, it is surprising that the entire system is crowned by a full color screen where we can enjoy the games in their original aspect ratio: 4:3.

This SNES TV, by the way, takes the form of televisions from the 90s (the tube ones), more specifically Sony’s mythical Trinitron, which shows on the front what looks like a series of buttons (fake?) that could be used to turn the console on and off, and raise or lower the volumebecause as you can see in the photos that the person responsible for this marvel has uploaded to Twitter, he also has his speaker.

take care of all the details

As specified in his message on social networks, this SNES TV has RGB output and USB-C connector to plug an adapter of current with which to keep it on, so you will not have problems in providing power to the system. It wouldn’t be bad either if in a future review it added a battery, to take this little wonder anywhere and amaze retro lovers.

Indeed, the cartridge slot is located at the top and it is able to read games in Japanese and, hopefully, European formats, which were kept in the same form in their plastic casing. It remains to be seen that American titles can be connected directly and not through a universal adapter.

If you want to see the entire manufacturing process, in the video above you will find the answers to all your questions.

As if the details of this little wonder were not enough, It has two ports for gamepad on the front Fully functional and with the original standard of the Japanese. So you can play the famous modes versus of the fight cartridges or, why not, connect a four-player multitap to it and go crazy with a Bombermanfor instance.

The screen, meanwhile, shines as one of the most striking elements of the SNES TV, offering a size of 5.5 inches, which is not bad at all to throw some games to old classics like Super Mario World, Castlevania IV, Super Metroid or any of the hundreds of classic names that that mythical Nintendo console left us. Isn’t it one of your favourites?
