When the betas of macOS 15.3 began to be released, it was being seen how the Universal Control function would monopolize all the eyes and tests by users. A very good functionality that with the launch of the latest beta has been obtained one more update. The current shape and placement of this new feature has been redefined. They have been specifically set within System Preferences.
Although the initial idea was that it was a tool that did not need a special configuration process, the reality is that sometimes it would need those adjustments. Especially when it comes to adjusting it to obtain the functions as required. In earlier beta versions of macOS Monterey 12.3, these controls they were hidden in the Advanced option in the Displays pane of the System Preferences app.
However, with today’s release of macOS Monterey 12.3 beta 3, Universal Control now has a dedicated switch in the main interface of the Screens portion of System Preferences. This makes the options more accessible, especially for users who might not think to dive into the Advanced menu to adjust Universal Control.
Clicking that Universal Control switch in System Preferences brings up the options that we want to adjust:

- Allow the cursor connect to a nearby Mac or iPad by reaching to the edge of the screen.
