this is what is missing for AMD to launch its new cheap graphics card

We will all agree that the graphics card price It has been increasing generation after generation for years (and this is for both AMD and NVIDIA), and it is a fact that high-end graphics, and even upper-middle-range ones, are already within the reach of a few. For this reason, it is the mid-range models that always sell the most, and it seems that the time has finally come for AMD announce your next relatively cheap graphics card of the new generation.

We talk of course about Radeon RX 7600XTa graphics card that we still know very little about but whose release date has now been leaked: we will have to wait about a month for its announcement, and a little more to buy it because it is expected to be released right after Computex ends, which begins on May 30 and ends on June 2.

The first cheap AMD graphics card of this generation

Traditionally, AMD graphics cards have always been a notch or two below NVIDIA in terms of price, but keep in mind that when it comes to the mid-range, this “gap” in price isn’t that great. . We have already told you that at the moment there is not much information about the RX 7600 XT and this includes its price, although it is true that we can get an idea of what it will cost if we take into account the price of the current models, and of course the price of the mid-range of its competition.

GIGABYTE Radeon RX 7900 XT GAMING OC

Unofficially, NVIDIA is expected to launch its RTX 4060 Ti next month, and it will be precisely with this model that the RX 7600 XT from the firm in red competes against. And, if this card has already been listed as “sub-$500” (which will cost less than $500), what we can expect is that this card from AMD will have a final sale price of about 400 Euro, approximately. Ok, it’s not that costing €400 is exactly a cheap graphics card, but taking into account how the market is, it would be the cheapest graphics card of this generation from AMD.

In terms of performance, this graphics card with Navi 33 GPU (its specifications are also unconfirmed, of course) would have about 32 CUs and, of course, it would be a step below the Radeon RX 7700 (XT), but with performance more than enough to be able to play high FPS at 1080p and even 1440p current triple A games with everything at maximum.

When can we buy it?

As we have said from the beginning, nothing is known yet 100% confirmed about this graphics card, but some dates have already been leaked; In principle, AMD will begin to send us samples for review to the press as of May 15, reviews that we will be able to publish as of the 24th (so they say in the source, we cannot confirm anything). The launch or official presentation would take place the following day, on May 25, and its availability in stores would arrive at the beginning of June, when Computex ends this year.

Some media claim that the models customized by the manufacturers (ASUS, Gigabyte, etc.) would arrive a few days later, and that many of them will take advantage of Computex to present them. We will see what happens in the end, because as we have said from the beginning there is nothing confirmed and all this is based on leaks and assumptions: there is no official information from AMD about it, at least not yet.
