Repeat the phenomenon Game of Thrones It’s complicated and HBO knows it well. This series, based on the book “Fire and Blood” by George R.R. GoT episodes you can watch before

These are the episodes that we suggest you watch to whet your appetite and remember some details that are possibly referenced in the new TV series.

1 × 01: Winter is coming

It is the start of the series (and of the books, practically) so it will help you to situate yourself and above all to know where is the targaryen family (banished and eager to regain the power of thrones after years waiting for that moment).

Targaryen siblings - Varys and Daenerys

1 × 06: A golden crown

When Viserys Targaryen crashes Khal Drogo’s party, he decides to end his wife’s nightmare and give her the “golden crown” she longed for. Right at the end and when seeing how she has died with the heat of the molten gold, Daenerys realizes that “he was not a dragon. fire cannot kill a dragon«. We will surely see similar references in the new HBO series.

1×10: Fire and blood

Fire and blood is the catchphrase of House Targaryen (as well as the title of the book on which the new series is based). At the end of the episode we will see how the three little dragons are born (from a pyre of fire), whose eggs Daenerys guarded and which hatch into the first hatchlings in over a century.

5×09: Dance of Dragons

We will see Daenerys on a dragon for the first time, a great moment for the series, although there is a much more interesting detail in the episode: Shireen Baratheon talks to Stannis about the book “Dance of the Dragons”, by Grand Maester Munkun, in which two relatives, Rhaenyra Targaryen and her brother Aegon, believe they have a claim to the Iron Throne and control of the Seven Kingdoms. People will start to side with one or the other, sparking clashes that will split the kingdom in two and cause thousands of deaths. A disaster for the Targaryens from which they never fully recovered.

7×04: Spoils of War

You can see Jon and Daenerys walking along the beach of Rock Dragon and entering its caves to discover its secrets. This location has a castle of the same name considered the ancestral seat of the Targaryen House, so we have no doubt that we will see it again in the prequel and more frequently. Jon also gives us a key phrase in the middle of episodes: “I never thought that dragons would exist again.”

7 × 06: Beyond the wall

The remarkable thing about this chapter is that we have the loss of a dragon and that can only mean one thing: they are not as indestructible as we thought. The King of the Night manages to reach Viserion in one of the deaths that we remember the most in the series -and look what has happened…

8×05: The bells

You don’t have to go too far: practically at the beginning of the episode, Varys tells Jon that “they say that when a targaryen is born, the gods flip a coin and the world holds its breath. And it is that years and years of incest has caused a lineage in which more than one has not been able to escape from madness. Will we witness this during the House of the Dragon?
