Windows 11 should soon add stickers. This will allow the user to further customize their desktop. For the moment, we do not really know what form this novelty will take.

How about customizing your desktop a little more on Windows 11? Microsoft might give you the option by adding stickers to its OS. At least that’s what the new update suggests.

The new OS build spotted by Windows Latest does not include stickers, but refers to it. Indeed, in the background customization menu, a new dedicated tab appears. It says “choose stickers for your wallpaper”. A mention of this new feature is also visible in the contextual menu (the famous right-click on the desktop).

Windows 11 will soon integrate stickers

At the moment, we don’t really know what these stickers might look like, since they are not included. But we can image small virtual and customizable stickers which would remain on your desktop, and which would persist if you change the wallpaper (or use the panorama function). We also assume that it would be possible to put personalized stickers with images of your choice. You will be able to choose a photo of your children, your cat or Grogu, as you please.

For the moment, it is not known when the stickers could arrive for the general public. They could very well be rolling out in a few weeks, or Microsoft could wait end of year update in order to offer a strong visual novelty.

Anyway, this addition could not hurt, since customization is the heart of Windows 11. The OS of course offers to change the wallpaper and the color of the interface (like on previous iterations), but goes further including dark themes or widgets. The stickers would therefore go perfectly in this logic.

As a reminder, Windows 11 was released in October 2021 and it is possible to download it from the official Microsoft website. If you are on Windows 10, your PC should offer you to switch to this new version for free, if it has not already been done.
