Windows 11 will offer tips to increase the life of the PC and recycle it

Microsoft wants to improve the durability of PCs under Windows 11 and has added a new section in the Settings of its operating system for this. Called “Sustainability”, the purpose of this guide is to advise the user on methods for saving energy or even for recycling their device. It is not yet available in beta.

Microsoft obviously has several new features in its bag for Windows 11 since, just after teasing the arrival of desktop stickers, the Redmond firm is testing a new section for Settings internally. This starts from an observation: we spend more and more time on our computersand this is all the more true since the launch of Windows 11. The machines therefore necessarily wear out more quickly, and do not always have the opportunity to have a second life.

For now, Microsoft does not appear to have rolled out the feature to Insiders members. It has, therefore, no launch date planned for the general public.
