Little by little, Xiaomi continues to make a name for itself in the PC sector, and this time it has done so with a very compact device that adopts the NUC format, and that comes configured with a powerful Intel Core i5-1240P processor. This CPU falls under the generation Alder Lake-P from Intel, which means it has P (high performance) cores based on the Gold Conve architecture and E (high efficiency) cores based on the Gracemont architecture.
This new device is identified as Xiaomi XM22AL5S, measures 112 x 112 x 38 mm, and is supported by an active cooling system with a turbine-type fan that removes hot air outside. Its Intel Core i5-1240P processor has a TDP of 45 watts, so we don’t expect temperature issues, and performance should be good, since it has 4 high-performance cores, 8 high-efficiency cores and can handle up to 16 threads.
The GPU of this equipment that Xiaomi has launched is an integrated solution Intel Iris Xe, enough for office automation and multimedia environments where high graphic performance is not required. We also know that this equipment can be configured with up to 64 GB of DDR4 3,200 MHz RAM, and that it supports a PCIe Gen4 SSD drive. The base configuration will come with 16 GB of RAM and with a 512 GB SSD, although we can buy it in barebone configuration (without RAM and without SSD).
Regarding the connectivity options, the Xiaomi XM22AL5S will have an Intel AX211 network solution, which means that it will support Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3and will have a wide range of connectors:

- 3 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A
- 1 x USB 2.0 Type-A
- 2 x HDMI 2.1
- 1 x 2.5Gbps Ethernet
- 1 x 3.5mm jack for sound.
The computer comes with a 100-watt power supply and runs Windows 11 as the operating system. It will arrive first in China with an exchange price of 543 euros, taxes not included. It still does not have a release date in Spain.
