Amazon launches new hub for discounted shopping

Amazon has just announced this Monday, October 3, 2022 the launch of Amazon Access, a new hub that centralizes the programs, reductions and features offered by the platform to make purchases at a lower cost.

On September 28, Amazon held its annual conference dedicated to presenting its future products and services. The e-commerce giant has notably lifted the veil on the Kindle Scribe, its first e-reader with a stylus or its 5th generation Amazon Echo Dot equipped with a Wi-Fi repeater.

However, the American company has just made a new announcement this Monday, October 3, 2022. Indeed, Amazon has confirmed via a press release the launch ofAmazon Accessa brand new hub that centralizes programs, discounts and features offered through the platform to make purchases at a lower cost.

In a difficult economic environment, where many people are facing rising costs for their essential needs, we want our customers to be informed of all the accessible offers available on Amazon, regardless of their situation”, said Amazon.

Amazon wants to help its customers pay less

This new Amazon Access hub allows customers to access various information on many options such as paying with SNAP EBT (a federal food assistance program intended to provide social benefits to the most disadvantaged individuals and families) or Amazon Layaway.

This service allows users to reserve eligible items for 20% of total cost and to pay the rest of the sum in installments within 8 weeks. Through the hub, customers will also be able to get their hands on coupons and discount offers on “essential” products every day.

Besides, Amazon Access also houses several accessibility options. This is where customers will be able to change the interface language, learn about accessibility features, and connect to customer service in charge of that particular area. Users will also be able to obtain details of the new Prime Access offer.

This is a discounted Amazon Prime subscription priced at $6.99 instead of the $14.99 requested since Amazon’s recent increase. Note that this offer is only available to people who hold certain US government aid. For the moment, Amazon Access is only available in the United States and we do not yet know if Amazon intends to offer this hub in other countries such as France.
