Will Ben Mendelsohn return as Krennic in Andor?

With the series set five years before the events shown in Rogue One, it would make sense to see Krennic again, and if the news is confirmed, we’re sure Star Wars fans would be thrilled.

Mendelsohn gave birth to one of the best performances in the film, and while we don’t know how important his part will be in the new Star Wars series, his return can only be welcomed.

Texture and details

The series, whose official title will be simply Andor, will focus on the rebel agent Cassian Andor before the events narrated in Rogue One, in the early days of the Rebellion against the Empire. The show has been described as a “spy thriller” and Diego Luna will return as Andor alongside Alan Tudyk, ready to reprise the role of K-2SO, Andor’s assistant droid.

They will be joined by Genevieve O’Reilly, who will reprise the role of Mon Mothma (Rogue One, Tin Can), Denise Gough (Collett, Angels in America), Kyle Soller (Anna Karenina, The Titan), but also Stellan Skarsgard (Thor , Good Will Hunting) together with Adria Arjona (6 Underground). Jimmy Smits and Alistair Petrie also appear to be in talks to join the series as Bail Organa and General Draven.

Among the writers involved in the series are Beau Willimon (House of Cards), Stephen Schiff (The Americans) and Tony Gilroy, who is also the creator and showrunner of the series.
