During the wwDC 21 keynote, Apple introduced many updates for developers. For example, the SharePlay API, in-app events, TestFlight for Mac, RealityKit 2 for AR, Swift parallel coding, and also Xcode Cloud. The idea behind a continuous integration system like this solution is that basically the many downloads of these tasks can be automated in the cloud. The American company is ready to expand developer assistance to Xcode Cloud tests
This new Xcode Cloud platform enables developers to speed up the development process by running automated tests and other tasks in the cloud. While the platform is still available as a private beta, Apple says access will be expanded to more developers soon. while the official launch is still expected later this year.
Apple thanks developers who have been invited to try Xcode Cloud since the beta launch last year. The company says the beta program “is going strong with over 10,000 developer teams enabled«. It also highlights some updates that have been made so far. However, the most notable thing in that communication from the American company made via email is that it was revealed that access to the beta version of Xcode Cloud will be extended to more developers “in the coming weeks.” Which suggests that more developers will be invited to test the platform next month. It is also said that this new solution will be officially released to all developers later this year. Although no specific date has been provided.
