Blumhouse is working on many unannounced Universal Monster movies

In a recent interview with Collider, Jason Blum, the founder of the well-known horror film production company, revealed that his company is actually developing many more films inspired by the Universal monsters:

“We have two or three that we are developing. They haven’t been announced yet, so I can’t talk about them. But things with Universal’s monsters is no different than it ever was. Universal is responsible for Universal’s monsters. But we did have some ideas that he liked for some other films. And we hope to be able to turn them into films “

There is no information on what these movies are, but some of the other Universal monster movie reboots that have yet to be made include Frankenstein, Frankenstein’s Bride and the Creature of the Black Lagoon. This without forgetting characters such as The Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Phantom of the Opera and many others.

Of course, there is also the Mummy, but after the flop of the film with Tom Cruise, perhaps they are not yet willing to reopen that… tomb.
