CPF scam: a new bill wants to ban canvassing

The French are still polluted by telephone canvassing campaigns about the CPF. A bill tabled in February 2022 wants to ban canvassing on the CPF

Catherine Fabre, LREM MP for Gironde, tabled a bill on Thursday, February 10, 2022 aimed at prohibiting cold calling about your CPF rights. This project is not just about banning nuisance calls and messages from known training centers, but also about preventing scams from scammers who want to siphon off the CPF account of their victims.

This bill also aims to prohibit sales promotion (offers of the type “two paid training sessions, the third is offered“). But it would not prohibit advertising to publicize training and not penalize legitimate organizations. This bill will not be considered for several months Indeed, the parliamentary session will be closed in four weeks. Then will come the time of the legislative elections. It will be necessary to await the formation of a new Assembly for it to be examined. Either at the beginning of summer according to Catherine Fabre.

The French have saved more than 53 billion euros on their CPF

Three years ago, the government set up the CPF as part of the vocational training reform. The CPF, or Personal Training Account, is a service acquired by all employees. In this account, the employee accumulates money which he can then use to pay for training with the aim of specialization or retraining.

This system replaces the Individual right to an education (DIF). To take advantage of it, simply activate your account where the DIF has automatically been converted. And, periodically, the sum increases according to the contributions of employees and employees. There is no deadline to take advantage of it. And you can even enjoy it when you retire.
