While the Italian fans of Dunes are awaiting the arrival, next September, of Dune: Adventures in the Imperium, Modiphius has started taking pre-orders for Dune: Sand and Dust, the first official RPG expansion.

The expansion will mainly focus on what, in fact, is the centerpiece of the entire franchise, the planet of Arrakis (or Dune for friends), as explained in the official description of the expansion:
ARRAKIS: SOURCE OF SPICE.
At the rear of the vast empire of humanity lies the hostile desert world of Arrakis. It is a deadly place, where no raindrops fall and people live a vulnerable existence in the roasted cities of the north pole. But Arrakis is the most important planet in the entire universe, because it is only here that you can find the melange, the spice.
Spice is everything. For some it is a way to prolong life, for others a way to look to the future. It is the key to wealth and power in the Imperium, and many of the noble houses will stop at nothing to control it in any way they can. The cities of Arrakeen and Carthag are filled with agents and spies, all seeking advantage for their faction and ready to kill to maintain their masters’ power. Will Arrakis be the place where your characters demonstrate the power of their house or will their blood be shed on the merciless sands?

Dune’s Sand and Dust expansion will consist of a 156-page full-color, hardcover manual with embossed artwork. Inside we will find numerous information on the desert planet of Arrakis, as well as the necessary notions to better understand the Fremen people, the properties of the spice and related new talents and abilities.
Inside we will also find a gazetteer of the cities of Carthag and Arrakeen, including their layout, points of reference and interest, as well as information on the lifestyle of the people of each city.
To top it all off, there will be a complete adventure, “The Water Must Flow”, which will involve player characters in a deadly storyline during a water shortage in Arrakis.
A pdf of the manual will be provided to all those who pre-order the expansion on the official website, whose release (in English) is scheduled for next December.
