Incredible or not, there are still people who use internet explorer 11, despite the fact that there are much superior alternatives and the date for the end of the web browser cycle has been set by Microsoft for a long time. Specifically, Internet Explorer 11 will be withdrawn from circulation next June.
The handicaps of using Internet Explorer 11 (we insist on the latest version, because whoever is stuck in a previous version has little solution) are several, but another is added to those already known, and that is that anyone who has it as the default browser in Windows 10, it will be blocking the upgrade to Windows 11according to gHacks.
This is so because Internet Explorer 11 does not have a presence in the new version of Microsoft’s operating system, so it is not possible for user data to be migrated during the update process. Consequently, the company has decided to add this endpoint as a block reason to prevent the upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11.
How can blocking be avoided? Obviously using another browser instead of Internet Explorer 11. Microsoft’s recommendation is of course to jump to Microsoft Edge or at least import settings and data from Internet Explorer 11 to Microsoft Edge before starting the upgrade process to Windows 11.
Unbelievable but true, there are still people for whom the idea of continuing to use Internet Explorer is appealing or perhaps necessary, but you are already at a point in the film where it makes little sense to commit to something like that… and even Microsoft has Got it: If you’re using Internet Explorer 11, you won’t be able to upgrade to Windows 11.
Really: Microsoft Edge, Chrome, Brave, Opera, Vivaldi…Even Firefox is a better option than Internet Explorer 11 no matter the scenario (just in case: it always was)! If you are still stuck in the old Microsoft browser and it is for compatibility reasons, look for alternatives that should exist.
