iPhone 14 Pro: Apple intends to round off the angles compared to the iPhone 13 Pro

The iPhone 14 Pro would have more rounded corners than the iPhone 13 Pro. According to the latest leaks, Apple has been forced to round the edges of its high-end smartphone following the addition of a huge photo lens.

With the iPhone 14, Apple will revise the design from top to bottom of his smartphones. On the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, the American group will draw a line under the famous notch, inaugurated in 2017 on the iPhone X.

To house the photo sensor for selfies with autofocus and the TrueDepth modules necessary for Face ID, Apple will bet on a double hole. This double cavity is composed of an elongated hole in the shape of a pill and a tiny, more discreet hole on the right.

The changes are more discreet on the back side. Mirroring the iPhone 13 Pro, the iPhone 14 Pro inherit a huge camera housed in a rectangular and rounded block. This dorsal camera looks even more voluminous than that of previous models. This extra bulk is due to the addition of a 48-megapixel lens.

The differences don’t end there. According to Ian Zelbo, a graphic designer accustomed to designing renderings dedicated to Apple products, the edges of the iPhone 14 Pro will be more rounded than those of the iPhone 13 Pro.

To determine the differences between the angles, Ian Zelbo studied 3D renderings that appeared on the canvas, manufacturing drawings from industry and production molds. The artist shared renders showing the two smartphones next to each other to show the difference.

Apple would have obviously decided to round the corners in order to make the rear design, marked by an even larger photo block (57%), more harmonious. This way the angle of the camera block fits almost perfectly into the angle of the structure. Adding a screen with thinner bezels could also have forced Apple to round off the corners on future iPhones.

The iPhone 14 Pro Max, on the other hand, appears to have similar angles to the iPhone 13 Pro Max. This is also the case with the standard iPhone 14, which should be very similar to its predecessor.
