No more Squid Game: What to watch this weekend on Netflix, HBO and Amazon

What to watch on Netflix

Given that Netflix has just renewed it for a fourth season without even releasing the third, this promises a lot. Yes, we are talking about the third installment of You, the popular series produced by the red N in which our protagonist gives himself an air of the mythical Dexter but in a millennial version and with serious obsessive problems.

In this third season We will see how things go for Joe and Love after their start (so tumultuous… to say the least) and how they cope now that they are parents. This series is one of the most popular productions in the catalog, with a good legion of fans who were looking forward to a title that is characterized by having very addictive chapters. Penn Badgley, known for his role as Dan Humphrey in the famous Gossip Girl, is in charge of giving life to the deranged Joe while Victoria Pedretti does the same with his unconscious girlfriend, Love Quinn.

If you prefer a movie instead of a series, we suggest you give a chance to Rescue distance. It is a thriller-tinged film based on a novel of the same name. In the film we will meet Amanda, a woman obsessed with the well-being of her daughter, who constantly calculates the rescue distance necessary to protect her. On a vacation trip to a remote Argentine town, you will discover that this is not always enough.

The film is directed by Claudia Llosa and starring María Valverde and Dolores Fonzi.

What to see on HBO

Within the HBO Max platform we are left with the arrival of the second season of We’re here, available from Tuesday. Like other products issued on the service, you will have to savor it chapter by chapter and at the moment only episode 1 is available.

This original proposal with overtones of reality takes us on a walk, as you may already know, through some remote towns scattered around the US map by the hand of famous drag queens, who are looking for people to participate in a one-night drag show. In some cases, these are quite small and traditional locations that have not seen a drag queen in their life. A docu-series that has no waste.

What to watch on Amazon Prime Video

We end our list of proposals with GEO, available on Amazon Prime Video – remember that to access this catalog you only have to be a Prime subscriber. It is a documentary series that shows from the inside the ins and outs of one of the most prestigious elite police forces in the world: the Special Operations Group.

You will see how hard and demanding the training of the members of this special body is and how hundreds of applicants start the entrance exams but only a few endure and end up passing them all until they become GEO. you are here you do not want to be in GEO and we are going to help you to understand it ». With such a devastating phrase, how not to give this docuseries a chance?

The link to the Amazon Prime service in this article is part of our agreement with their Affiliate Program. Even so, the decision to include it has been taken freely, under editorial criteria and without attending to requests from the brands involved.
