Roborock, the Beijing-based manufacturer of smart cleaning robots took advantage of the IFA taking place like every year in Berlin to present several new products. On the menu, three new vacuum cleanersof course, but also its very first washer-dryer smart all-in-one, the Zeo One.

Roborock products are recognized not only for their effectiveness, but also for their good value for money. The company today adds three new references to its catalog of vacuum cleaners, in the form of the Roborock Q5 Pro, Q8 Max and Dyad Pro Comboeach of these products being the revised and improved variation of a vacuum cleaner of the brand.

The Q5 Pro is Roborock’s most affordable robot vacuum

If the Q5 Pro is “the latest entry-level model of the Q Series”, while the Q8 Max is more upscale and more complete. The latter has, for example, an avoidance technology, Reactive Tech Obstacle Avoidance, which allows the robot to circumvent the most common household obstacles. Both devices are also equipped with a 5,200 mAh battery, a capacity that will theoretically allow them to clean without interruption for 4 hours. Converted to an area, this measurement is equivalent to a cleaning of 350 m2.

Another point in common between the two references, their suction power: 5500 Pa, just like the S7 Max Ultra, the brand’s high-end robot vacuum cleaner. The firm’s engineers have improved the sweeping system, with a new two-brush patent, the DuoRoller, which on paper will make the Q5 Pro and Q8 Max twice as efficient in terms of cleaning.

Of course, the two “rolling pucks” will only give their full potential through a mobile application, whose features “such as smart suggestions for forbidden areas, quick cleaning and cleaning following the set directions” will definitely save the user time. To take full advantage of these devices, it’s highly recommended to purchase the Q5 Pro+ and Q8 Max+ models, which simply add a “self-draining RockDock Plus docking station with E-12 class dust bags, capable of storing up to 7 weeks of dust without manual emptying”. The Q5 Pro and Q8 Max series will go on sale in mid-September and start at €349 and €499, respectively.

The Dyad Pro Combo is an even more efficient connected mop

If during our test of the Dyad Pro, we highlighted the excellent performance of the mop, then its successor presented in Berlin should represent the best in this area. It is in terms of versatility that it should shine.

According to the manufacturer, “the Dyad Pro Combo can turn into a handheld vacuum with four attachments accessories, a combination that allows users to clean more waste, whether wet or dry, with a single device”.

If the announced autonomy is lower than its fellow robots, with one hour of operation in vacuum cleaner mode and 43 minutes in vacuum cleaner / scrubber mode, the Dyad Pro Combo can boast of offering a suction power much higher than its rolling colleagues, with no less than 17,000 Pa on the meter. The Dyad Pro Combo will be sold from mid-September on Roborock’s online store and on Amazon for €549.

Roborock enters the washing machine market with the Zeo One

By launching its very first washer-dryer, Roborock affirms its ambition to become a supplier of household appliances overall. The Zeo One is therefore the very first foray of the Chinese brand into this highly competitive field. If, despite the commercial argument advanced by the company, the properties of the appliance in terms of washing are, all in all, fairly standard — it can wash 10 kg of laundry and dry 6 kg per load, at most, it is at the level of drying that Roborock innovates.

According to its designers, the “Zeo-cycle™ technology is capable of absorbing moisture equivalent to area of approximately 40 football pitches without extreme heat. Better yet, the Zeo One will save you the very tedious maintenance of the dryer ! The Roborock LintClear self-cleaning system automatically collects and removes lint without the need to clean the filter by hand. Roborock obliges, the washing machine will also be controllable from an application. Roborock has not yet announced a launch date or price. regarding the Zeo One.
