But although there is darkness in this there is also light, since the change of Ethereum working format will arrive next year and an interesting drop in prices is expected, but … Now the NVIDIA RTX 40 GPUs will be more expensive.
If the changes in Ethereum are the great hope of the gaming community, the bet is also directed towards another place that we already discussed on some specific occasion: the exit of the RTX 4o to the market with Ada Lovelace as the main architecture. But if the new rumors are true, the hope of the users will fall to the ground or maybe not, it is complicated, so let’s see what is happening and then we will speculate.
Three GPU Models at Launch
NVIDIA’s strategy seems to be very similar to what it used with the RTX 30, we don’t know if it’s the same in concept, but it seems to be in shape. The RTX 40s are expected to arrive sometime in the third quarter, delayed by various factors such as supply and materials problems as well as chip shortages that are no longer as great as 6 months ago.
Huang’s will present three starter models: RTX 4090, RTX 4080 and RTX 4070 and logically it will quickly and soon discontinue the RTX 30 that precede the new models. The RTX 40 will be more expensive, how much?
As we say, the capacity is not enough and this will affect the RTX 40, which will again be the object of desire for all and there will not be enough stock even if the prices were good and correct. The problem is that they will not be either (the prices) since according to what we have been able to know and being specific the RTX 4070 will raise your MSRP by no less than a 10%.
Considering that an RTX 2070 and an RTX 3070 had an MSRP of $ 499 it is claimed that the new RTX 4070 will be officially priced by NVIDIA of no less than $ 549. Where does this price increase come from?
According to rumors, everything comes from the costs that NVIDIA has to acquire the raw materials for its chips, PCBs and electronic components.
