The solution is to use the new website that the Academy of History has created.
Through this portal, called Hispanic History, we can access from a single place to places around the world that at some point were under the rule of Spain since the year 1,350,000 BC Right off the bat, we can get a completely different idea. what this website really offers us.
What Hispanic History offers us
Historia Hispánica is a website, which we could buy with Google Maps, but which, unlike Google’s solution, makes available to us through thumbtacks, more than 20,000 events in which Spain was related in some way. But, in addition, it also allows us to access more than 50,000 characters who played an important role for our country in the past.
In fact, this portal is the only one currently available in the world that brings together the history of a country in a simple and accessible way for everyone. This website includes geographic references to more than 150,000 locationslocations, which show the birth or death of people relevant to the history of Spain and the events that occurred at some point in history.
In addition, we can also access all the information based on people, timelines, events and locations through the search engine, a search engine that allows us to search for facts, characters or activities related to both. All the information is available in Spanish, but it is also accessible in English.
As soon as you access this website, a map of the whole world is shown with thumbtacks where historical events related to Spain or one of its illustrious characters have occurred. As we get closer to a location, the available information expands. Clicking on each location displays the relevant names of characters who were born or died at that location. Clicking on these displays a complete file where their relevance to our history.
Also, from the tab Facts, we can access the most important events that occurred in that location. By clicking on these, you access the details of this along with important references that allow us to have all the context we may need to resolve any questions we may have about it. The Facts, in turn, are classified by eras, which will allow us to access specific time lines without the need to apply additional filters or search for information about a town at a certain time in history.
This tool is, without a doubt, an excellent platform to learn about the most recent and ancient history of Spain, being an excellent option to broaden our knowledge, satisfy our curiosities, and as teaching material for history students.
