When will the new Warzone map be available?

Activision has accelerated some news for the fourth season of Call of Duty: Warzone that, if nobody fixes it, It will be up and running in just a week. the last of June. From that moment on, battle royale players will have to get used to the new places hidden in a map that will replace the classic Rebirth. Do you know everything that awaits you in it?

Many changes before the end of the year

As you know, important changes are coming in the part warzone of Call of Duty. For example, version 2.0 that will arrive at the end of the year with the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 that has already been announced and that promises to change things practically from its foundations. Even so, so that the changes are not too abrupt, Activision has decided to go a little slower, leaving the rest of the year for us to get used to a new map that we already told you about a few days ago.

Its name is Fortune’s Keep, and that Americans have translated as Torreón de la Fortuna, in a clear allusion to the many treasures that we are going to find in the fortress that crowns this new scenario. As we tell you, it will be with the premiere of season four when it comes into operation, replacing Rebirth, which has precisely served as a model to maintain some proportions in terms of the extension of the stage itself. Not in vain, from the company they speak that “our goal was to create a new map the size of Rebirth Island that would present the Resurgence game and provide several new locations to fight […] We wanted to create an island that had a timeless feel that was as fun to explore as it was to battle.”

What will the new stage have?

As we say, it is not so much a different map in game mechanics as a continuity map, designed to give variety to war zone and that the players feel the same experience of gun play but in a different place. What’s more, its creators have even said that it will be “timeless”. For starters, in the fourth season Fortune’s Keep will enter war zone as the way to enjoy Resurgence more, as it is “a completely original map inspired by real world locations in the Mediterranean”. Activision’s intention is “for this map to be timeless and feel like it could be a real place you could visit.”

We’ll also get improvements to what Americans call “the narrative” of the new map, as there is “a big contrast in having an area that was once used to fight pirates now being taken over by a group of mercenaries and smugglers.” ”. All those elements that are part of the story they have their reflection on a map with new locations and a central point located in the Tower of Fortune, placed practically in the central area, presiding over all the others.

In this map, by the way, we can play with the already traditional Blood Plunder and Resurgence modes with its variants for teams or solo.

So go write down the dates, that this Fortune’s Keep has just a few days left to be among us.
