When a website gains popularity based on sharing all kinds of files on the network, there are quickly groups and organizations that, through judicial petitions, seek to put an end to it. One of the latest victims that has been affected by this censorship has been Z-Library, one of the largest eBook Libraries which has a 220 TB database of books and articles, all of them accessible to everyone and totally free.
In November 2022, the United States Department of Justice took control of the domain of this website and arrested two of those responsible for it, accusing them of infringing copyright, electronic fraud and money laundering. However, this was only the beginning of a new stage in the life of this website. Barely 24 hours later, the web made the leap to the Tor network, as well as to multiple telegram channels to download any book with a simple search, so that anyone could continue using it.
But not everyone knows how to use the Tor network. And many users no longer knew how to continue entering this website. Therefore, those responsible at the helm of Z-Library have decided to follow in the footsteps of The Pirate Bay and adopt what is known as “Hydra Mode”. And, just like that, it’s back to the normal Internet, now being impossible to shut down.
Z-Library is back available to everyone
From this moment on, to enter Z-Library it is no longer necessary to use the Tor network. Those responsible for the platform have enabled a new domain that will allow us to log in with our Z-Library username and password, but without entering the database. On the other hand, when entering this website, what we will be getting is a unique and personalized domainfrom which we can enter the entire database of this platform.
What we have to do now is save the URL that appears in the browser in a safe place to be able to re-enter this platform. And, very important, do not share this URL with anyone. Each user will have their own unique URL, so from this moment on, it is impossible for them to close or block the web.
The login website: the next goal
For the moment, the login website it works perfectly, but it won’t take long to crash. Since it is now going to be much more complicated to block all the URLs generated to enter this website, the judicial forces are going to directly attack the universal login website, which is necessary for users to get their unique URLs.
Therefore, we have two options. Either we log in as soon as possible to ensure our URL or, if the login web stops working, we will have to enter it from the Tor network, at least to log in, get our unique URL and, then, start using it to enter on the platform.
Of course, they can also end up arresting all those responsible for the platform and end their legacy, but is it possible?
