The Rock firmly reaffirms that he will no longer participate in the Fast and Furious films, and tackles Vin Diesel at the same time.
Dwayne Johnson has withdrawn the license Fast and furious. After having shared the screen three times with Vin Diesel, the actor announced that he would not be part of the tenth installment of the saga. He should logically no longer cross paths with Dominic Toretto, despite Diesel’s insistent tone. On Instagram, the latter had identified Johnson to convince him to reverse his decision.
“My little brother Dwayne… the time has come. The world is waiting for the finale of Fast 10. As you know my kids call him Uncle Dwayne in my house. The inheritance awaits you. I told you years ago that I was going to keep my promise to Pablo (Paul Walker editor’s note). Hobbs cannot be played by anyone else. I hope you will rise to the occasion and fulfill your destiny ”.
Emotional blackmail that does not pass
But this final call of the foot obviously did not please Dwayne Johnson who responded in an interview for CNN. “I told Diesel I wasn’t coming back to the franchise. I was firm and cordial and added that the actors and the saga would always have my support, but there is no way I will return. ” Before adding “Vin’s post is an example of his manipulation. I didn’t like that he mentioned his children and the death of Paul Walker. Leave them out of it all. We talked about it months ago and we came to an agreement. ” Difficult to make any clearer. The fans will therefore have to resolve to bid farewell to the band, but not to the whole.
Hobbs & Shaw 2 still on the program
As for the second part ofHobbs & Shaw, which he shares with Jason Statham, it is still relevant according to the producer. He confirmed this summer that things are progressing, but slowly. We will therefore have to arm ourselves with patience, it is obviously not for now. Especially since the program is loaded for the actor, who will play Black Adam in the eponymous film. Fast and Furious 10 will give enthusiasts of gleaming engines and asphalt a chance to entertain themselves by then. The film, which will conclude the saga initiated in 2001, is due out on our screens in May 2023, if all goes well by then.
