Some Apple Stores dress up in Olympics in honor of their games

There are only a few days left until the Tokyo Olympics begin. This year marked by the pandemic, everything is trying to look a little more normal. For this, it is intended to instill the Olympic spirit in society through visual aspects. Apple contributes to this campaign Dressing up some Apple Store. To do this, it uses the colors of the flags of the countries participating in the Olympics, among other winks.

Before the Olympics, Apple has begun to decorate the exteriors of some Apple Store locations with a design motif representing the 22 countries around the world. It’s unclear which Apple Store locations will feature the decor, but Mac Otakara spotted the reason at the Apple Shinjuku location in Tokyo, Japan. The publication also reported that Apple Ginza and Apple Omotesando will be decorated. Apple Aventura in Miami, Apple Piazza Liberty in Milan and Apple Garosugil in Seoul also feature a similar storefront.

The design motif is meant to celebrate the same country collection as the new Apple International Collection Sport Loop, which the company launched in late June. Apple says the collection is meant to “celebrate the indescribable drive and competitive spirit of all athletes and fans.” Likewise, the Apple Store also have Apple Watch screens that show the new straps. The attached app clip codes allow visitors to download themed watch faces for each country represented.
